Thank you so much for taking the time to view my page.

I am riding in behalf of Anthony Nolan (see link at bottom to find out more info)

The reason I have decided to ride and raise money on behalf of them is...

Just over 2 years ago on the 22nd of December 2011 a GREAT guy and friend died from Leukemia.

Matt Knell was and is an Inspiration to me, unfortunately for me I did not know him as well as I wished I had. From the first time I met him at a sailing centre in Essex I felt we clicked. He was such a great guy. Over the next year I got to know him and felt I could speak to him about anything. He was a man of God for sure and I looked up to him.

When I found out that he had been diagnosed with Leukemia I was saddened because I thought it was going to change who he was but the only 2 transformation I saw was 1. He had no hair and 2. He was even more on fire for God. I felt ashamed of myself as here was a guy fighting for his life giving everything over to God and standing firm in the Truth that Jesus is our Saviour and there was me struggling to commit my life to him when my life had no problems at all in comparison. Matt was diagnosed on 15 December 2011. The whole time that he was going through this all I saw from him was Patients understanding and acceptance that Gods plan is perfect regardless of if we understood why. His attitude to the whole of this was inspirational and my gratitude goes to his family which I have had the great pleasure meeting some of them recently.

Things had started to look like they were improving and this was great but on the 20 of September 2011 he relapsed with a brain tumour. But again his faith was not shaken. Then on the 14 December 2011 he was told that no more could be done for him and he was sent home to spend his remaining time with his family. Then on the 22 December we went to be with God. But still to this day I will look up to him, I know that I can try and live to be like Jesus and never get there but I do wish that one day I will have the faith and trust in God my saviour like Matthew did.

Regardless if you’re a Christian or not please donate and help me on my way to raise as much as I can for them.
