In Memory of My Bestfriend, My Dad ❤️
This year, on my birthday (24th August 2026), I'll be taking on one of the biggest challenges of my life, a skydive in memory of my incredible dad.
Birthdays were always special to him. No matter how old I was, he made every birthday one to remember, filling the day with love, laughter, and memories that I will cherish forever. It feels only right that I honour him on a day that meant so much to both of us.
My dad was my superhero, my best friend, and the strongest person I have ever known. He faced liver disease with remarkable courage and determination, fighting every step of the way. Watching someone you love battle such a devastating condition is heartbreaking, and one of the things that became clear to our family was how difficult it can be to find information and support to help navigate liver disease.
As much as the thought of jumping out of a plane terrifies me, my dad was a true fighter and a go-getter who never backed down from a challenge. When I think about what he would say, I know he'd tell me to take the leap. There is no better way for me to celebrate his life, honour his strength, and keep his memory alive.
I'm raising money for the charity formed by the merger of the British Liver Trust and Children's Liver Disease Foundation, the only UK charity supporting children, young people and adults affected by all liver conditions. Their vital work provides support, information, and hope to thousands of families every year, while also raising awareness of liver disease and the challenges people face.
I miss my dad every single day, and I would give anything to have one more birthday with him. Since I can't, I'm choosing to make this birthday count by doing something that would make him proud and by helping others facing similar battles.
Any donation, no matter how big or small, would mean the world to me and help support the incredible work of this charity.
Thank you for helping me honour my dad's memory. ❤️
