London to Paris bike ride · 16 September 2020
A friend of ours recently gave birth to a beautiful baby girl who was diagnosed with Cystic fibrosis. News like this comes as a massive shock and scary times not knowing what to expect. We thought how could we raise awareness and help people in this situation. We decided to do a bike ride London to Paris (500km) to raise money for the charity! This has been cancelled due to covid 19 Due to the government restrictions of none essential travel to France the cycle challnage has today been cancelled.
We are deep sorry and disappointed as the decision was taken out of our hands.
As this charity needs much needed support and awareness we have decided to carry out a UK challenge of cycling from Lands End to Chester, a total of 650km over 5 days.
we didn’t want to let anyone down plus the little CF warriors who get obstacles put in front of them and keep going we decide this won’t put us off we have planned our own route starting in lands ends ending in Chester we didn’t want to let anyone down! First day Monday 14th September we drive from Chester to lands end the start the cycle to Newquay,, Tuesday Newquay to Exeter, Wednesday Exeter to Stonehenge, Thursday Stonehenge to Hereford, Friday Hereford to Chester to finish works out we will be doing 650km Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life-limiting genetic condition affecting more than 10,000 people across the UK. Currently, half of those with CF will not live past age 41.The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is fighting for a brighter future for people with CF and their families by funding cutting-edge research, driving up standards of care and supporting people with the condition and their loved ones every step of the way.
