In memory of Mel Petersen

Chiltern 50 Challenge 2021 · 25 September 2021 ·
Mel was a proud Welsh, rugby loving, VW Beetle driving, creative thinking, photographer, graphic designer, art lover, self employed (publishing company) business owner, burger eating, cyclist, tee-total, coffee drinking, fitness enthusiast. He was also a protective, funny, quiet, gentle, father, husband, friend and all round super-man. Whilst it aches to think that his journey was cut short and of all the things he has missed (being a Granddad to Ben and Alice) I do take comfort in the fact I think about my Dad all the time, a testament that the heart goes on loving always. He lives on in us and was loved not only by me, his only child, but by my Mum, his family and friends.
To mark the 20-year anniversary of his death which is on 20th September I've decided to complete the 'Chiltern 50 Challenge' in his memory. It's 50km (31 miles) and the furthest I've walked in one go. I'm doing it on my own but I know he will be with me in spirit. Your support would be so welcome too!
Please dig deep and sponsor me as I'm raising money for Cancer Research UK. For my rock Kate and my Daddy. xxx
P.S. Dad, thank you for the rainbows x
