Story

Please sponsor my run.  It's only a 5k so I will try to do a super fast time!

I'm fund raising for Child's i foundation.  Their mission is to stop abandoned babies growing up in orphanages. Why?  Because they hate babies?  Au contraire!  It's because families are a much better way to look after babies and children than orphanages.  What do I know about it? you may ask.  Well, not much, but my friend Lucy Buck knows a hell of a lot.  Please read more about Child's i, especially if you have teenage kids thinking about volunteering at orphanages.

Child's i funds social workers to trace abandoned babies.  If they can't trace the family the baby will be raised by Ugandan adoptive parents.  Thanks to Lucy and her team in just the last 8 years 140 babies are growing up in loving families.  This is life-changing for those individuals  concerned but, as importantly, the model is sustainable long term and Child's i is working closely with the government to end orphanage care.
