CAUK 3 PEAKS & EVEREST VIRTUAL CLIMB · 30 March 2020

Cavernoma Alliance UK (CAUK) supports people affected by cavernoma. A cavernoma is a common but often unheard of condition caused by a cluster of abnormal blood vessels in the brain or spine. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for those affected through education, support and research.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Staff and our 2 guest climbers from the Express.co.uk (Rob, Associate Editor and Vickiie, SEO Editor) are taking on a Virtual challenge together.

Over the next 2 weeks we will be scaling the 3 peaks and Everest VIRTUALLY from our homes to help raise funds to continue our support of those people who have a cavernoma(s).

We have based this event on the stair challenge:

https://www.nhsggc.org.uk/media/213470/haw_challenge_stair_climb.pdf

Snowden is 475 flights of stairs, Scafell 412 and Ben Nevis is 587. Everest comes in at a whopping 3871 (Based on a 13 step flight of stairs)

We aim to complete Snowden and Scafell in 4 days (2 days each) and Ben Nevis in 3 days. Everest will be week 2 and take us 7-10 days (hopefully!!)

We will post regular updates of our progress.

Any help you can give us would be so gratefully received by our community. We are working very hard to launch our virtual care and support in the next few days.
