Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I realised that Jack's head seemed to be growing but not as expected. His head was growing in length from front to back but began to look out of proportion. After some research (I know you shouldn't google) I realised something was seriously wrong, after visiting baby clinics from jack been a baby I didn’t get listened to from him been 4 months to 10 months old I demanded a second opinion then got referred to my gp straight away and then to Barnsley hospital for a CT scan where we discovered Jack had Sagittal craniosynostosis. This means Jack's skull had fused earlier than expected, his brain had no room to grow, he needed major surgery to correct this before he suffered brain damage and facial deformities. Our hearts were broken we were in shock but we had to do this for our boy. The next few months were a blurr as we prepared to take Jack to Oxford, to one of the only hospitals to perform the necessary surgery. A few weeks ago Jack had the surgery he so desperatley needed and as you can see from the photos he is on the road to recovery. We wanted to do something to help fundraise to help more families get the surgery they need when they need it.

Please give what you can and share my page to help the children that need it.
