At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

My Grandfather died on 11th September 1997 having suffered from Alzeimers for 4 1/2 years. In his memory I will be running the Birmingham Half Marathon and raising funds for the Alzeimers Society.

He was a fun grandad with a wacky way of thinking, who used to play postman in the kitchen with me with a pretend yapping dog, play dolls in the garden with me on bright sunny days and let me place my hands over his eyes when he was driving. He even let me and my sister dress him up in drag ( in my nans clothes ) and wave to neighbours. So my wacky idea of running the half marathon will be in honour of my wacky ( yet fun ) grandad.

It would be fantastic if you could make a small donation to help reach my goal.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this

Love to you all, especially Grandad 'Popstar' Jones
