Story

My mom had been suffering from dementia for some time now.
On top off that, her lungs where severely damaged.

During the last month my mom fell and broke her hip, after
that fall she fell again “since she forgot that she needs to use a walker” and broke her spine. Doctors put on a neck brace on her since they said it might heal with proper care, so she had to be on bed rest, due to her bad lungs and the bed rest she got pneumonia.

Wednesday the 14th after fighting for 11 days through pain
and agony my mom passed away at the age of 76 in the hospital.

I know my mom would rather have a donation to a charity than anything else (either your choosing) or you can donate here to support the all-volunteer, all-Dementia's nonprofit charity... the Dementia Society of America!

Having to understand dementia was a challenge for our family
and despite all these things being lost, the person will still retain some of
their abilities, and will still feel an emotional connection to people and
their environment, even later on in the condition.

Dementia education can help
people living with these conditions, their families and caregivers. It’s their goal to present resources and programs that can make a difference.

What they Provide: To make available, non-medical, easy-to-understand Dementia awareness materials and resources for individuals, small businesses, larger corporations, civic organizations and communities-at-large. To provide monthly quality-of-life programs within continuing care communities and in public Dementia-friendly forums, that emphasize meaningful therapies for those living with Dementia, and their caregivers. These educational programs can be a lifeline for many people who are looking for ways to enrich the lives of men and women living with the disease.

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers
