Story

Almost 4,000 children and young people are diagnosed with cancer every year in the UK. That’s ten every day. Like everyone else, I never thought it would happen to us, but on February 9th 2018, it did. Our daughter, Sienna, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.

Children with Cancer UK is the leading national children’s charity dedicated to the fight against childhood cancer. The charity fund life-saving research into the causes, prevention and treatment of childhood cancer and work to protect young lives through essential welfare programmes.

Throughout our journey with Sienna's condition, we have needed support, whether emotional or physical. Charities like Children with Cancer have provided this backbone for us during our deepest and darkest moments.

My friends and colleagues at Smart Currency (also known as the crazy bunch) have seen our family go through this journey day by day, and as such, have wanted to support Children with Cancer UK by undergoing a grueling 10km obstacle course called 'The Wolf Run' (thewolfrun.com). I told you they were crazy!
