Story
Sue Ryder in Leckhampton looked after Mum for the last 3 weeks of her life. The amazing staff showed compassion, care and kindness in everything they did for her, it was truly humbling to see the work they do day in and day out and to see the difference it made to Mum. We are so grateful to everyone involved in this wonderful place. The name we chose for our team came from a conversation with Mum in her last few days when we were moved to tears by Mum’s situation and she made us laugh by telling us we were all ‘silly cows’ for crying. She only wanted ‘happy tears’ and this moment of laughter that we shared with her, and her desire for us to be positive and to look after each other, inspired us to sign up for this walk to help Sue Ryder help other families like ours. Please give generously if you are able. Much love from Gill’s girls. Xx
