Painting Our World In Silver brings older people together to engage in fun, interesting and educational activities with the aim of tackling loneliness and creating new friendships.

Silver hosts monthly get-togethers at the Village Hall in Whiteley Village, Walton on Thames, Surrey on the third Wednesday of every month from 10:00am-midday. Here we listen to interesting speakers and take part in engaging crafts.

We have established a partnership with Dial-A-Ride in Elmbridge who are now providing transport to Silver get-togethers; guests with no access to transport will be able to register with Silver to use this service to/from the monthly get-togethers at a subsidised cost of £5 return. For every guest that requires transport to a get-together, the cost to Silver is £5.

We have seen the difference we have made to our guests in such small and simple ways. Giving our attendees birthday cards has now become an essential part of a Silver event, Just taking the time to acknowledge a special day with a card isn't much - but it becomes essential when we learn that sometimes this is the only card some of our guests may receive.
