3 generations cut their lockdown locks

Sima Patel is raising money for Little Princess Trust

2 generations cut their lockdown locks · 14 June 2021

The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions. The charity is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.

Story

When our superhero (grandson, nephew and brother) was diagnosed with cancer it broke our hearts. He had surgery which was going to be life changing for him, the surgery went well and he was given the all clear... only for it to return shortly after. We were left heart broken again! This time he was going to fight the battle and have chemotherapy, which comes with a number of side effects, one being losing his hair. When he did lose his hair he got bullied in school, being called a 'potato head', this saddened us all.

It has taken us a while but we've now cut off our long locks and will be donating them to the little princess trust, where they will work their magic and provide wigs for little children.
