Story
In October last year, our cousins Doug & Sam, very sadly lost their baby boy Grayson. They found out his heart had stopped beating when Sam was 39 weeks pregnant. Our family has created a team to run in different races across the Edinburgh Marathon weekend (25th & 26th May), to raise as much money as we can for the charity SiMBA in Grayson’s memory. SiMBA gave Doug & Sam the time to make precious memories with Grayson after he was born.
SiMBA, responds to the needs of those affected by the loss of a baby. We do this by donating our precious Memory Boxes to maternity and neonatal units so they can be gifted to parents at the time of the loss of their baby. The Memory Boxes are used to capture the most precious memories, time together, for information our website https://www.simbacharity.org.uk The other services SiMBA provide are support groups, online support, events that bring families together to honour their baby; educational study days to support healthcare professionals.
We will be running in the following races:
Marathon: Calum
Half marathon: Gillian & Ally
10K: Jenny, Murray, Finlay & Suzanna
Grayson’s big brother Ethan and his cousins Roman and Ada, will also be running in their first race the 1K.
Our family, especially Grayson’s parents Doug & Sam, big sister Rachel and big brother Ethan, would like to thank you very much for your kind donation to SiMBA in Grayson’s memory.
