Story
We decided in a moment of madness to try and run (walk/crawl) the Southampton half Marathon despite very little training and spending too many hours in our local pub - The Cricketers Arms in Woolston we are going to give it a go....
To force us to have a reason for this madness we chose to raise money for the Mountbatten-Hampshire who have in past supported and helped close friends of ours. As you can see from our page going 'up' 7 days before the event, how last minute our training has been going....
Mountbatten-Hampshire (formerly Countess Mountbatten Hospice) is a charity which provides free care and support to people with any life-limiting illness, including respiratory disease, Motor Neurone Disease, heart disease, advanced dementia and cancer. They also provide free bereavement and psychological support to patients and their families. They are an independent charity which, each and every year, must raise more than £7m to ensure they can care for the growing number of people who need them.
We hope that you will back us with a small donation of whatever you can afford. Every donation counts and will give us more of an incentive to finish!
Thank you so much to each of you.
