As many of you will know, my daughter Elodie was diagnosed with a serious heart condition antenatally. She will soon be undergoing open heart surgery requiring an extended recovery period in hospital, and knowing that RMHC will be there to help keep us together makes a world of difference.

Unfortunately repeated bouts of illness prior to that event meant that with a very heavy heart I had to pull out, however I'm delighted to say that I'm now in the final stages of training for another Ironman event, so your sponsorship will be earned! On 2nd October 2022 I’ll be taking on my first Ironman Triathlon in Barcelona, Spain.

The course sets a challenge of:

• Swimming 3.8km
• Cycling 180 km
• Running 42.2 km
