We partner with the people of Kabubbu, a rural community in Uganda. Working with our sister NGO, we transform lives by providing funding, lifting many out of poverty via our Primary & High School, Health Centre, Training, Farming School, Tourist Resort, Church/Community Centre & welfare programmes.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

For 18 years I have worked with the Quicken Trust, seeing a rural area transformed from abject poverty, disease and sickness into a community that is developing and beginning to take the shape of what we see as a caring and healthy community.  Water, medical facilities, education, housing, team after team of relentless volunteers from every profession and walk of life.  Farming, junior, High School and university education and now vocational training, a covered market, a local maize mill and a community center in the middle of town that can hold up to 500 people, young peoples activities, church and so much more.

Transforming lives is hard work but what we have seen achieved is nothing short of miraculous.  But there's more to do... so much more.  we have a need for operations to be funded, more children to be sponsored, better farming and crop management, social reformation and all so that others can be given the best chance possible in life.

You have been wonderful but it is time for me to get my creaking broken body (and my wife who seems far less broken!) into some sort of shape to walk 25k across the Brecon Beacons on the 6th July 2019.  Last years was tough and I suffered but... no pain... no gain!

So all I can ask is... will you help?  I know many of you did last year and in other events in the past and you should look at the web site www.quickentrust.com to see what you helped to achieed.

Every penny will go to the overseas work.  We only run the UK office on the Gift Aid we get.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.
