Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Having recently started cycling to work, I've decided to look for a bit of a challenge, and an opportunity to raise some money for a cause currently close to my heart.
On May 28-29th, myself and a hardy gang of volunteers are cycling from Elland Road in Leeds to the wonderful Anfield in Liverpool, along the paths that flank the longest canal in Britain.
This journey was most recently undertaken by Harry Kewell, we hope to be more succesful than he was.
The route is 128 miles, and we're aiming to do it in two days. We're not a fit bunch, so there's likely to be blood, sweat, and punctures.
But the toughness of our journey is nothing compared to those who suffer this terrible illness. My Dad's wife Lesley has recently completed a course of chemotherapy. She is being wonderfully supported by the team at Christies, and we would like to do something to say thank you.
Lesley's father was an avid Leeds United fan, and her husband is of course a devout Liverpool follower, so the journey has a lot of meaning to Lesley.
