This year I am not only running for myself but also the seriously ill kids in hospital. I am raising money for Spread a Smile whose mission is to distract seriously ill children and teenagers from the monotony of long hospital stays by spreading joy and laughter. Every year, their teams of entertainers make thousands of virtual and bedside visits, distracting children from pain and treatment, breaking the monotony of the hospital environment and creating positive memories for them, their parents and siblings. Spread a Smiles support also includes family events and outings, Smile TV, art workshops, painting children's radiotherapy masks and family support.

With the year it has been for both these kids and their parents it is time we remind them of good times and laughter. Your contributions will go towards Spread a Smiles mission of ensuring that these kids are not alone staring at four white walls.
