Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In June last year Steve Green tragically died on his way to Le Mans. Now Steve wasn't just a colleague,(and a very professional one too),  but he was also a friend, and his larger than life personality lit up rooms and brought smiles to everyone's faces.Put it this way-you knew he was in work because you could hear him, followed by laughter.A year on he continues to be sadly missed.

He left behind him a close knit, loving, but bereft family,Jill, his wife,Naomi and Elliott-his children.

I wanted to do something to remember him by and thought I would combine pain,(cycling on a razor sharp saddle),with pleasure,(aiming to buy a new puppy for Canine Partners)-so I'm riding to Le Mans from Bicester starting on Sunday the 16th June-and arriving on the following Thursday.I'm riding with 3 Mamils,a small but perfectly formed peloton, consisting of Jamie Constable, aka Lurch Armstrong-his pace is deceptive he's slower than he looks,(I have been rudely labelled Biggo despite my best efforts to lose weight),and Simon Kennedy, aka Uncle Tourettes-ask him to tell you how to get out of his cleats without falling over...Fingers crossed there will be no bursting of lycra under way more stress than it was ever designed for.

If we can manage it we'll be sending updates along the way.
