Orchard is a medical charity that develops new and better treatments for obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). One person out of 30 suffers from OCD, yet current treatments are lacking. Please support us as we seek to tackle this severe mental illness.

Story

Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page. I’m running the Cambridge Half Marathon on Sunday 8 March for a terrific charity, Orchard. It aims to help people with OCD.

OCD is a chronic, disabling condition which can blight people's lives and potential. Most people do respond to first line treatments but these help manage the condition rather than offering a complete cure. Relapse can also occur as roughly 20% of people do not respond to first line treatments.

New treatments need research. Right now, there is a terrible lack of good quality research initiatives exploring OCD. ORCHARD is a charity set up to try and rectify this and funds research into new treatment approaches for OCD.

Please give a little to help this really worthwhile cause. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
