Story

Dip at Dawn will return this year on Friday 5th July at Ladies Beach, Salthill. Participants will gather at 5:16am to greet the morning sun with a short yoga session followed by a dip in the sea in an effort to raise awareness and funds for those facing homelessness in Galway. The Yoga Sun Salutation will be led by Yoga Shala co-owner, Laragh Cunningham and her team, while Caitriona Lynch of Ebb and Flow will lead the dip in the sea. The Jungle Cafe will also be on hand to serve hot drinks for all.

About the charity

Galway Simon was set up in 1979 by volunteers who refused to accept homelessness on the streets of Galway. With the support of the wider community, we have grown, learned and adapted over the years to become a leading provider of homeless and homelessness prevention services in the region.
