Story

Liv Donald Ducks are back to defend our title as Reigning Alder Hey Dragon Boat Champions!

Our daughter Liv was born in 2018 with complete heart block and within minutes of her birth was rushed to Alder Hey Children's hospital where she was cared for for the first month of her life. Alder Hey performed life saving surgery within the first weeks of her life and she has had further surgery at 18 month and will be under their care for the rest of her childhood.

Most people are fortunate enough to have not experienced a children's hospital with their child. But those who do have to are so lucky to have Alder Hey here in the North West.

Alder Hey is an incredible place primarily because of the people who work in the Hospital. We are reminded of this every time we visit with Liv. From the nurses on the wards, the play therapist who make Liv enjoy her visits now, to the amazing cardiologists and surgeons who saved her life.

We will always be grateful for Alder Hey and everything they do for our family.

Thank you

The Donald Family
