Story

We are back for the third year in a row after winning the race 2 years running!

We are again raising money for Alder Hey for the amazing care they give to our little girl Liv.

As most of you all will know by now Olivia is a twin to her sister Ruby and their big brother Teddy. When Kate was pregnant with Liv and Ru the doctor noticed an issue with Liv's heart rate. She was diagnosed with congenital heart block at 20 weeks. After a very nervous pregnancy the girls were delivered at Liverpool Women's hospital. Within 30mins Liv was separated from Kate and her twin sister and rushed to Alder Hey where she was taken to the cardiac ward to be cared for.

After 2 weeks Liv went for life saving surgery and was given a micro pacemaker. She stayed at Alder Hey with me for the first month of her life until she was strong enough to come home with the rest of the family.

Since then Liv has had a further operation at Alder Hey. She frequently visits for check ups and play therapy sessions to help her feel comfortable at hospital with the doctors and nurses.

We could never thank Alder Hey enough for everything they have done for our family.
