As most of you are aware I lost my Gran in 2016 which is the reason I started running, the following year 2017 I raised money for Cancer Research UK in the memory of my Gran.

Then in 2018 I raised money for the MS Society running 6 half marathons over the year.

For 2019 I'm going BIG. London Marathon Big!

The reason I chose this charity once again is because one of our close friends was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis 24 months ago. At the beginning Fay just felt a strange tingling feeling in her feet and legs, this would come and go and was put down to a bad back, then a few weeks after one of these episodes she lost the sight in her left eye and after numerous tests was diagnosed 5 years after the first relapse. This was particularly hard for her as she has a young daughter who was aged 5 at the time. The things Fay has found hardest since her diagnosis are finding the energy to make special memories with her daughter. Knowing there is a mass of help and support from the MS Society has helped Fay no end, from going to a newly diagnosed course, to reading up more of what MS actually is. It helps Fay to know that the things she’s experiencing are part and parcel of the MS she now lives with.

Fay hopes that one day there will be a breakthrough in the treatment of MS and a cure will be found.

The MS Society has set my target of £2000 which is going to take a big push to hit.
