On Sunday 3rd September 2023, some close friends and I are planning to complete the 2nd half of the South Coast Challenge, and walk 45k in one day from Hove to Arundel to raise money in memory of my amazing daughter Lola, who died on 22nd August 2021 from cancer. 

Last year we raised an incredible  £13,000 for Young Lives vs Cancer walking from Polegate to Hove, and the training throughout the year brought my friends and I together to support those in need. 

The event itself was an amazing (but very physically, mentally and emotionally challenging) day, and it feels right to complete the South Coast walk and do my best to raise as much money as possible for a charity that helped to support my family when we needed it most.

Through this second  effort at fundraising, I can only hope to show a fraction of the strength, determination, bravery and hope that Lola managed throughout her illness.

It's wrong that any child should face such a cruel disease, and it's unimaginably tragic for any family to have to cope with the physical, emotional and financial challenges that a child's cancer diagnosis brings.
