Simon ( 67 yr old double amputee ) Sky Dive for Pilgrim Bandits Page

Pilgrim Bandits Sky Dive · 19 August 2022
I am a 67 yr old bilateral amputee and lost my legs in May 2019 and recently in January of this year as a result of long term Type 1 Diabetes. I will be totally out of my comfort zone and this is my time to give back to such a worthy charity as Pilgrim Bandits who continue to support our Military veterans around the world.. My life will literally be in the hands of somebody else on August 19th and of course I will have total faith that they will get me back to the ground safely .
I am a Great Britain International Para Table Tennis player and the Charity supported me when I needed it by purchasing my sports specific wheelchair and I will be eternally grateful to them and if I can repay in some small way by raising much needed funds for them, then I will die a happy man. ( Not literally I hope !!)
Please dig deep, I will be nervous, scared probably but also tremendously proud of what I am doing to support others. Our servicemen and women put their lives on the line when defending our country and by doing this skydive is the least that I can do.
Thankyou for supporting me and in turn raising much needed funds for Pilgrim Bandits.
Their motto is “ always a little further “ , by doing this skydive I will certainly epitomise that strapline.
