We've been robbed and we need your help! · 30 September 2017

We run large events, designed to be accessible versions of mainstream events. Our events include Feel the Force Days: Accessible film and TV conventions which cater for up to 5000 people with disabilities and additional needs, attracting visitors from all over the World.

Story

We've been robbed. The thieves broke into our garage, stole ALL of our tombola prizes and all of our new sensory touch table equipment. We spend a year fundraising to make Feel the Force Day happen and now we are looking at a hefty shortfall in funds.

Please help us!

Feel the Force Day is an inclusive and accessible film and TV convention. Everyone is welcome, it’s not exclusively for disabled people, but all of the facilities are in place to help people with additional needs to enjoy the convention. To make Feel the Force Day accessible we provide a Changing Place, under-sell tickets to allow extra space inside the building, have limited but appropriate merchandise stands to improve mobility around the venue and we also provide a quiet room for anybody who needs a few minutes away from the buzz of the event.

Feel the Force Day started in Peterborough in 2013 with 20 deafblind adults who wanted to learn about Star Wars and has grown to include 3 events per year which have attracted over 32,000 people around the country. On 16 June 2018 they plan to hold their first London event in the Velodrome at Olympic Park, an event which is estimated to attract 6,000 people.
