Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My Uncle Ted lives with dementia, I told my mum I was wanting to raise money for a good cause and Dementia UK seemed the obvious choice. She told me that not only does my uncle have it, but my nan and her sisters all had it too. Not realising how much our family had been effected by dementia in the past and present, It hit home that my choice of charity was indeed the right one.
I aim to raise as much money as I possibly can over the next 8 weeks by taking part in as many running, cycling and swimming events I can.
But I can't do it on my own! If anyone would be so kind to donate to my Just Giving page It would be greatly appreciated. I don't have a target amount, but all money raised will go to Dementia UK charity who provide admiral nurses, specialist dementia nurses who give practical and emotional support to families affected by dementia.
I will be competing in the 2015 Airfield Anarchy Mud Run.
This event is a 10K 50+ obstacle mud run which takes place at the Newark show ground on Saturday 13th June.
I also have several other upcoming events which I will be taking part in over the next 5-6 weeks. The Awsworth 5k run 10th May, Trent 5 mile run 20th May and the Broxtowe Triathlon 7th June to name a few.
