We are raising money to refurbish and relaunch our building in Westminster for people with learning disabilities. Our aim is to run activities and workshops, supporting people to live happier, more connected and safer lives.

Story

We are raising money to reopen our building in Westminster for people with learning disabilities. We want to tackle the inequalities still faced by people with learning disabilities, including around healthcare, poverty and loneliness. With a refurbished building and a new member of staff, we will provide a range of activities and workshops. This will include sessions on topics such as how to access healthcare services, staying safe, digital skills, mental health awareness, sexual health and relationships, and sustainability. We will teach people crucial life skills and help people to be more involved in their local community. People with learning disabilities were particularly badly affected by the pandemic. The project will be a place where people can make friends, have fun and learn to live safer, happier and healthier lives.
