On Dec 12th 2010 Lee went to bed and never woke up. SUDEP had taken another victim, at the age of just 24. Over 1,000 people die every year in the UK as a result of Epilepsy. Lee never knew he was at risk - Lee's Smile aims to raise awareness of Epilepsy, to reduce the stigma, and to save lives.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Dec 12th 2010 was the day our lives changed forever. Lee, at the age of just 24 had become another victim of SUDEP - one of over 1000 deaths a year attributed to Epilepsy in the UK. Such was Lee's enthusiasm and zest for life, we've been inspired by him to keep his memory alive through the creation of the Lee's Smile Charity.

Through your amazing support, over £100,000 has been raised in Lee's memory to raise funds for research into Epilepsy, as well as raising awareness of a condition that still attracts a stigma that quite simply isn't justified.

National Epilepsy Week runs from 19th - 25th May, and we're involved in 3 events raising funds for Lee's Smile and supporting the week's theme of "busting the myths surrounding Epilepsy"

As well as my annual entry into the Manchester 10k (sub 1hr is mandatory!), Vicky has arranged her annual Ladies Luncheon, and Findel plc will be holding the 2nd Annual Football Tournament in Lee's memory at Goodison Park.

There's plenty going on - Lee wouldn't have it any other way!

So please dig deep and donate now.
