Boundaries of Old Walthamstow · 13 March 2016

The Samaritans of Waltham Forest offers confidential emotional support for people who are experiencing feelings of distress or despair, including those which may lead to suicide. Samaritans does not judge people or tell them what to do; but Samaritans will try to help them think things through and find a way forward.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Which road was a front drive? What links St Mary’s churchyard and the Gherkin? Which desirable Village thoroughfare was previously called Pig Lane? And how do you pronounce “Monoux”?
Don’t pretend you don’t want to know.
To find out about these teasers (and much more), come along to Simon’s guided tour of Old Walthamstow on Sunday 13 March, starting by Strettons Estate Agents opposite the Goose pub at 2:00.
The walk costs £10 (which goes to Branch funds) and will last about 90 minutes, ending up back on Hoe Street, at which point my Svengali-like influence over you will magically evaporate and you will be able to exercise free will once more.
