Wiltshire Portage are complete newbies to the Bath Half - and our very first #TeamPortage has 12 runners who love what we do so much that they have chosen to run on our behalf and raise money to support our work. As a free specialist home visiting educational service for children and their families, from birth to school age, with disabilities and difficulties we are often the first service that families come into contact with. The three Portage principles that we follow are: Child Led Play; Structured Teaching and Family Support. All of this happens within the child's own home, somewhere familiar and therefore a place where they can be at ease and receptive. Every week we receive new referrals and children often have to wait many months before we can offer them Portage visit.
