Story

My friend Bob Munro, was diagnosed with Myeloma a rare bone marrow cancer in 2012. It is incurable and the survival rates are among the lowest of all cancers*, so it has been devastating news for Bob and his family and friends.

I am training and riding with Bob to raise money to support Myeloma UK accelerate the development of new Myeloma drugs before time runs out for Bob and others like him. He has organised a 500km, 4 day ride from London to Paris in May 2016. It will finish with a police escort up to the Arc de Triomphe, just like the Tour de France pros. That is going to be a huge challenge for everyone.

Please help me support Bob and others suffering from this horrible disease by sponsoring me. All the riders have paid for their own trip so 100% of your money donated will go to Myeloma UK.

I am going to have to put in extra effort too, as I had both my hips replaced in November 2015, and got back on the bike for the first time in January 2016. So come on please reward my hard work - it is going to be 125km each day, all on brand new hips!

*20% of people newly diagnosed with Myeloma die within 60 days. The five year survival rate is just 46%. Myeloma research is improving these stats but a lot more needs to be done.
