24 Hour Charity Gaming Marathon · 14 March 2020

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Having seen what Alzheimer's and Dementia does to a person first hand, and crucially what it puts that person's loved ones through, it's so important to me that we help fund research that can one day potentially lead to a cure.

A few years ago, both of my Grandmothers passed away within months of each other. They both suffered with Alzheimer's toward the end of their life, and seeing the strain it put my parents and family members through was really tough. I raised some money a few years ago for this great cause by playing video games, and damn it I'm prepared to do it again!

Saturday 14th March 2020 at 3pm - We'll be kicking off with a run through of Super Mario World (this is how I start all my 24 hour streams - it's a nod to my Dad's Mum who loved to play this game with us when we were kids). From there, we'll be playing all sorts of stuff from classic Nintendo games to modern shooters, and everything in between.

Please donate as generously as you are able to for this great cause, and join me on 14th March for 24 hours of gaming goodness!
