Story

On the 14th October 2023 a brave bunch of friends will be partaking in a mountain climb of epic proportions to raise money for Caring in Bristol, supporting the local charitys vision of creating a city empowered to solve homelessness. Setting off from Machame Gate in Tanzania our team will be taking on a day 10 trekking adventure to summit the highest mountain in Africa, Kilimanjaro. Standing at a staggering 5,895 metres, it makes Kilimanjaro the highest single free-standing mountain above sea level in the world; and this is the challenge that we have set ourselves. From battling through the dense Tanzanian rainforest to navigating huge ravines, from the scorching heat to dangerous altitudes; the challenges that we will be presented with are rather daunting but we believe we are up to the task. So if you can please do donate to this page and show us your support, and in doing so you will be helping to support some of Bristol's most vulnerable individuals.
