Simon McKeating is raising money for Trossachs Search and Rescue

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I will be 60 in May and want to do something to mark the milestone and use it to raise money for Trossachs Search and Rescue.
I have been volunteering with Trossachs Search and Rescue since last June and have been fortunate to witness the enthusiasm, commitment and skills of the team. All members of the team are unpaid volunteers.
Trossachs Search and Rescue is a community based charity and the work undertaken by team members includes:
- Search and rescue (with Urban Search and Rescue dog teams)
- Scottish Ambulance Service Community First Responder
- Overnight and weekend support for Technology Enabled Care Service (TECS)
- Water Rescue
- Checking and maintaining Public Access Defibrilators
- Community CPR (Heartstart classes)
To raise money for Trossachs Search and Rescue I will be cycling a challenging route around the Trossachs which covers 100 miles and includes almost 3500 metres of climbing
The route includes a detour past the Woodland Cemetery near Killearn where we will pause and pay our respects to Stuart Ballantyne; a remarkable man who dedicated his life to Trossachs Search and Rescue from its establishment in 1998. Stuart sadly passed away from Covid-19 on November 9th 2020. He was 60.
