The British Red Cross, a charity incorporated by Royal Charter 1908, helps people in crisis, whoever and wherever they are. And when the crisis is over, we help them to recover and move on with their lives.

Story

Ok so managed to finish... I ended up with a time of 1:56.01 which I am delighted with and I would just like to thank all of you for your support.

I have signed up to do the Great North Run in September 2010 for the British Red Cross. Knowing me as you do I'm sure you all realise that running, or exercise of any kind, is not really my forte but I am hoping to put in a reasonable time. How reasonable I'm not yet sure, but I'll keep you posted.

Seriously though, the British Red Cross is a great charity that I chose carefully and is involved in projects in the UK and abroad that really do make a massive difference to people's lives. The charity aims at providing aid in crisis situations, such as the recent floods in Pakistan and earthquake in Haiti, helping those who need it most. I recommend checking out their website to see just how diverse the type of support they provide is. (http://www.redcross.org.uk/index.asp?id=39992)

This is where you guys come in. Not only would I be enormously grateful for any contribution you could make but more importantly the money will go directly to improving and saving the lives of some very desperate people all around the world. I won't bang on about it but I really would be so grateful for anything you can spare. Thank you.
