Story
In January 2023, having not done any exercise for 12 years, I pushed myself through the Couch to 5k programme - not quite a cliched New Year, New Me, but I wanted to be beach body ready for a holiday in March!
After years of rest, I somehow I found my running feet again and have been running regularly since then. I've also completed the:
- Cancer Research UK London Winter Run 2023
- Asics London 10k 2023
- Big Half 2023
- Royal Parks Half 2023
All of these I've done under my own steam and without fundraising. However, having secured a place in the London Marathon 2024, now is the time to fundraise - for the motivation and encouragement, and to support a brilliant cause.
The Connection at St Martins has been working for over 100 years to reduce homelessness. They believe that no one should be on the streets at any time of year, and are there for people experiencing homelessness, every day. They get to know people, building lasting relationships as they recover from life on the streets and move on to fulfilling futures.
I've seen first hand the incredible impact The Connection has, having worked many times with Connection Crew, a social enterprise production crewing company supporting people into work who have been affected by homelessness.
Please do give generously! It will mean a lot to me, but more importantly to the people your donation will be helping.
