So, 6 days to go and I'm about to head out and buy a new pair of cycling sunglasses: given that the encounter I had with the wasp last week, wrecked my normal ones. Worrying also that I need an additional pair of shorts, maybe just fretting a bit? In really looking forward to it now and hopefully I will be able to get an extra few miles in my legs before we actually start. Here's hoping!

The big work starts here. After two weeks off, holidaying in foreign climes, eating too much and lying around my fitness levels must have plummeted. So now is the time, get my weight down below 13 st and ride much, much more! Got to be ready for Paris
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am riding the London-Paris charity bike ride for Diabetes UK.
Any of you who know me, know that I am motivated by two things; Medicine, in particular diabetes and cycling. This trip has allowed me to combine my two interests, as I will be riding the challenge as the team support doctor. As a consequence I'll have to deal with other peoples saddle sores as well as my own!
I really hope you can donate for my ride for Diabetes UK. They are an excellent charity who do a great deal to promote and support people with diabetes and their families. I'm doing what I can, now you do what you can too- please!
It is 300k up and down hills all in two and half days, so be generous.
So please dig deep and donate now.
Thank you very much for helping out.
Simon
