Marie Curie is here for anyone with an illness they’re likely to die from, and those close to them. Whatever the illness, wherever you are, we’re with you to the end. We bring 75 years of experience and leading research to the care we give you at home, in our hospices and over the phone.

Story

Marie Curie is a charitable organisation that provides incredible end of life care to the terminally ill.

At the beginning of 2020 I got first hand knowledge of how amazing they are, as Marie Curie took care of my mum in her last few days.

I never knew such people existed in this world. The level of skill, compassion and care given by all of their staff in Edinburgh was and is beyond words.

They made my mum so comfortable, pain free and even laugh. I will be eternally grateful to everyone at the Frogston Hospice, Edinburgh.

Marie Curie receives very little funding and relies on the generosity of fundraisers to provide the level of care that makes them so special.

I knew that to hit my just giving target I would have to do something that bit extra. So, over the last 3 years I have embarked on the challenge of running 2 marathons a year with an ultimate goal of qualifying for the legendary Boston marathon.

My running has taken me to San Sebastian, Edinburgh, Copenhagen, London and…… Guildford. With PBs under the belt the next step is getting that Boston qualifying time in London, October 2022.

So please continue to follow my running journey whilst donating whatever you can to Marie Curie so they can continue the amazing service they provide.

Thank you
