Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 2013 · 4 August 2013 ·

We help people diagnosed with a brain tumour. We aim to give everyone diagnosed access to the resources that will put them back in control. We enable brain tumour patients and carers to become resilient and to utilise brain tumour support resources from all providers to their full potential.

Story

Well its all over now! What an amazing experience. Started off badly by getting lost on the way to the Olympic Stadium! We parked the car at London Bridge and then cycled 10 miles to Stratford - should have been 6 miles but got lost!

The event was well organised and the weather was kind to us - apart from a blustery wind. People came out to support the riders in great numbers - especially Dorking, Kingston and of course The Mall.

Leith Hill was a monster and Box Hill was a breeze! The legs are sore (along with other bits!) but well worth the pain. The kids were at Putney Bridge (so I put on a sprint) and Caroline & Richard were there at the finish.

Actual ride time was approx 6.5 hours and we beat Boris! But of course the real reason for doing this is to raise vital funds and awareness for a great charity that has supported my sister superbly.

Although I didn't set a target, it would be amazing to reach £4000. So if you've not yet donated (waiting for me to finish) then please consider doing so for this valuable cause.

For those of you who have donated thank you so much for your support - it got me (just) to the top of Leith Hill...

Many many thanks
