Story

I’ll be running 100 km (62.5 miles), from London to Brighton (https://ultrachallenge.com/london-2-brighton-challenge), on Saturday 29th May 2021.  London to Brighton will be twice the distance I've ever run in one day and, let's be honest, is a stupidly long way (cue the photo!).

Before you ask…
- Yes, this is a stupid idea,
- Yes, this is a mid-life crisis (cry for help),
- Yes, I was probably drinking when I signed up for the challenge,
- Yes, I’m full of regret and remorse, and
- Yes, this is a lame excuse to wear tight fitting lycra for 14 hours plus.

I've pledged to raise money for Macmillan Cancer.  The pandemic has had a catastrophic impact on Macmillan’s income and ability to fundraise.  Thanks for supporting my fundraising.

Macmillan Cancer Support helps everyone with cancer live life as fully as they can, providing physical, financial and emotional support.

  • £9.50 could pay for 25 copies of The cancer guide. This Macmillan booklet can help someone recently diagnosed with cancer and their families, understand more about cancer, its treatment, and the help available.
  • £28 could pay for a Macmillan nurse for 1 hour, helping people living with cancer and their families receive essential medical, practical and emotional support.
  • £51 could help run a large Macmillan information and support centre for 1 hour, helping people affected by cancer to find information and support.
