Story
I am currently cycling unsupported from London to Nice in aid of prostate cancer research. The ride is a total of over 1800 km and over 21,000 climbed. I set off on Saturday 17 September and hope to complete the ride in 15 days.
Prostate cancer Is the most common cancer in men. In the UK every 45 minutes one man dies from prostate cancer, that’s more than 12,000 per year. One in eight will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime.
I am raising money for the Royal Marsden Hospital Cancer Research and specifically the Urology research fund. All donations will help fund research by the Urology team into the more accurate and earlier diagnosis and then treatment of Prostate Cancer this saving countless lives.
The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity raises money solely to support The Royal Marsden, a world-leading cancer centre. They ensure their nurses, doctors and research teams can provide the very best care and develop life-saving treatments, which are used across the UK and around the world. From funding state-of-the-art equipment and groundbreaking research, to creating the very best patient environments, they will never stop looking for ways to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.
