Patterdale Parish Boundary Walk 2009 · 4 July 2009 ·

The P.C.C. of Patterdale raises funds to support St Patrick's Church in Patterdale. We also support the annual Patterdale Boundary Walk in aid of St Patrick's Church and Patterdale Primary School, with all donations split across the two organisations. Many thanks for your generous support.

Story

After several years' prevarication (and some training), Joanna and I are walking the Patterdale Parish Boundary on Saturday the 4th July 2009. Being in the heart of the Lake District the boundary is both rather long (30 miles) and goes rather high (involving 10,000 feet of ascent and knee-punishing descent). The walk is run every year to support the local community in the form of the local school and church. We will be making a donation ourselves, but if you'd like to support our efforts please use this page.

We've made a Google map of the route so you can get an idea of just how 'challenging' it will be here: http://tinyurl.com/pdalebound

UPDATE: We made it! Joanna and I got round the full walk in 12 hours and 45 minutes, thanks to everyone who supported us. And there's still time to make a donation if you'd like.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: P.C.C. of Patterdale gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
