Sept 2017, Hurricane Maria swept across the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico.  It is widely regarded as the worst natural disaster on record for the region, and it devastated homes, schools, workplaces and lives.  Our own Hilton team members were among those affected and as a family and organisation we want to come together to support them in rebuilding their lives and putting a roof back over their heads.  Therefore the Hilton Head Office in Watford is dedicating the month April to walk/jog/swim/run (in fact any way they choose) the distance from Watford to Puerto Rico - an astonishing 4,200 miles whilst raising funds to help our colleagues.

My pledge is to cover 120 miles walking in the month which equates to approx.  70000 steps a week.   In a normal week I cover approx. 45000 steps so I need to get myself of my backside during the day and evening night to ensure that I cover the distance.
