Story

Thank you for reading our page.

Always up for a challenge but this is the biggest yet! On the morning of 27th May  we’ll set off from Richmond and walk 100km to Brighton finishing in the early hours of Sunday morning. It  is a very long way and we would like to complete the walk within 24 hours. We are no strangers to distance walking but have never tackled a walk of this length,  so it will definitely be tough and there’s no doubt it’ll be mentally challenging as well as physical.

Why Dementia UK?  Both Jane and I have  family members that have/had Dementia and it’s an incredibly difficult and cruel disease.   Also as Master of The Worshipful Company of Butchers, this is Andrew’s chosen charity for the year.

Dementia UK provide Admiral Nurses who are specialist dementia nurses. They provide life-changing support to families living with dementia. They have the time to listen and the knowledge to solve problems, helping families face the future with confidence.
