Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Two years ago I lost a good friend to prostate cancer. As well as our shared interest in things geological and archaeological, we also both enjoyed cycling. Peter was a keen cyclist for many years and we often talked about his time trialling exploits, my commuting rides through London on a Brompton, and the latest goings on in 'the Tour'.
This September, to remember Peter and to support the work of Prostate Cancer UK, I will be riding from London to Paris. That's a total of 507km (315 miles), starting with a day's ride through the Kent countryside to Dover, followed by two days heading south through France via Arras and Compiègne, to reach Paris on Day 4 and complete the journey in spectacular fashion with a ride along the Champs-Élysées, round the Arc de Triomphe to the finish line in sight of the Eiffel Tower.
I would be very grateful if you are able to help me to raise money in Peter's memory for Prostate Cancer UK. Thank you!
