Sylvia lives in Malawi. She has just one sack of maize left from her last harvest. She needs it to feed her family until the next harvest arrives. That’s in six months’ time – it’s not enough food to survive.
Just an hour away, Polly has nine bags of maize left from her harvest. It’s more than enough to feed her family.
Polly has learned a secret that Sylvia desperately needs to discover.
We want to raise money and awareness for Tearfund who work tirelessly to help communities around the world escape the very worst effects of poverty and disaster.

Our Fundraising Challenge
For those of you that know us well, we were not built for distance running. However, as we were both celebrating a half century on the planet this year, we wanted to challenge ourselves while raising awareness of Tearfund's incredible work. So we started running and, like Forrest Gump, we just kept on running. Despite the obvious aches and pains, our persistence has slowly paid off and we're now quietly confident we can run the 13.1 miles. But we're not sure we can complete the distance before the race organisers have packed up and gone for lunch! When we discovered the race started in London at 9am and closed at 11.30am, our vision of a "fun run" evaporated as we realised we not only needed to finish, but finish relatively quickly. So, once again, we have a challenge on our hands and are aiming to get round in under 2 hours. For your seasoned athletes it might sound woeful; for you overweight 50 something's with a penchant for Prosecco or G&T in the evenings... welcome to our world.
Wallets at the ready - we want you cash. You know what to do!
