Story

3 weeks to go!!

So..Crazy as it may seem..I have taken on the huge challenge of running BOTH the New York and Berlin Marathons.

Berlin, which I am running with one of my closest friend's Shaun Roe,  is on 26th Sept..

New York is 6 weeks later on 7th November!!

I am doing all of this in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

I want to share with you the following recent event which is one of the major reasons why I support this terrific charity.

My very dear friend Lisa Clough was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer very recently.

Lisa is a self employed Personal Trainer, and as you can imagine being off sick from work she cannot earn her income and it’s a huge worry for her. It is a very stressful time for her dealing with not only the Cancer but of course the last thing she needs is also to be dealing with financial worries…… This is where Macmillan have been absolutely amazing and have been able to provide limited financial support so that Lisa can afford her rent and food whilst she is unable to work. If it wasn’t for Macmillan then Lisa would have an even bigger burden to deal with. Macmillan have gone some way to helping her out in her greatest time of need.

So its not only the nursing care they provide, but also help in other areas where the doctors and nurses are not able to help...

This is why its very close to my heart

Macmillan do some fantastic work and they no doubt have touched your lives in one way or another….. so please use this opportunity to give something to this great charity…

Thanks for listening

Simon
